NEW LOGO

OUR HISTORY and a new LOGO.

MADE IN ITALY GROUP is a rapidly expanding London based group of restaurants unique for the authentic Italian dining experience offered to its customers every day.

It all started in 1989 when a Sicilian and a Neapolitan came to London together with the dream of bringing the real Southern Italian antipasti (starters), pastas and, of course, the now famous wooden-fired pizzas by the metre. They opened their first restaurant in Kings Road called Made in Italy. Due to its success it was followed by Napule’ (Fulham), and then by Santa Lucia (Chelsea), Luna Rossa (Notting Hill) and Regina Margherita (Angel). In August 2009 a new restaurant has been opened in James St, close to the busy Oxford St, and in July 2010 the last opening in Soho.

At the moment the Made in Italy Group consists of six restaurants located in the best London areas and recently opened a mozzarella and ricotta production centre where Neapolitan cheese makers use the freshest local milk delivered daily and buffalo Italian milk delivered twice a week.

The expansion of the Group will carry on with new openings such as the Mozzarella Bar in Kings Rd.

What makes Made in Italy Group different from other Italian restaurants is that it provides the most authentic dining experience. This means no compromises: over 90% of our ingredients are imported straight from Italy to our kitchens and thanks to the new cheese production the freshest genuine mozzarella you can get in London is being served in the Made in Italy restaurants.

Made in Italy Group is NOSTALGIA; nostalgia for the aroma of oranges ripening in the sun, nostalgia for the sound of waves on the Amalfi coast, nostalgia for the smell of a tomato sauce bubbling on the fire. Made in Italy Group is a NEED; a need for us to bring a little bit of our Southern Italian homeland with us to the UK.

PRESS&EVENTS

Made in Italy has the Second Place as Best Italian Restaurant in London for News-Digest!

Translation:

Pizza of 1m length
Made in Italy
Located in sophisticated area Chelsea, the restaurant still has a friendly atmosphere.
This main branch of Made of Italy opened in 1989, and now has 8 branches in London.
You will find a wide range of Classic Napoli Pizza, which only the authentic Italian ingredients are used with, on the menu.
Although they import the most of the ingredients from Italy, they also opened their own cheese factory to produce cheese along with Italian recipes, which has made them possible to serve even more fresh cheese.
The staff explains that the crust is the most tasty part of Pizza. You may tend to leave the crust, however you could feel a faint sweetness of the ingredients and would probably eat it all.
A piece of Pizza shapes round, however if you order more than 2 pieces, you could choose a long and narrow shape of Pizza called Pizza Metro as well. The portions for 4 people are about 1m length.
It is easy to share and gives a great impact when served so it will definitely brighten up your meals!

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana gathered Eva Herzigova, Gary Barlow, Isaac Ferry, Tara Ferry, Otis Ferry, Eliza Doolittle, Josephine De Baume, Cara Delavigne, Florence Brundell Bruce, Mary Charteris, Oliver Cohen Jackson, Amber Le Bon, Pixie Geldof, Tali Lennox and Sunday Girl together for the Doce&Gabbana Party 2012 with Harper's Bazaar and Terry Richardson was on hand to capture the backstage fun.

It’s easy to forget that fashion can be fun and, so, we thought it was only right to share the footage that Terry Richardson managed to capture to show you that the ‘work hard play hard’ ethos is also found in fashion.
The April issue of Harper’s Bazaar 2012 will be hitting the shelves on March 20th and you’ll have the chance to delve deeper into this sublime, celebrity packed event through the words of Derek Blasberg.
